Sherry Lynn Beckham, dedicated medical professional with over 20 years of experience in the medical field, became the founder and owner of Be Defined Training and Companion Care, a small business focused on equipping individuals with life-saving skill to be prepared for critical moments.

Did you know? There are 220,000 victims of sudden cardiac arrest per year in the United States; about 10,000 sudden cardiac arrest occur at work, according to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). And studies have consistently shown that around 70-80% of cardiac arrests happen at home or in residential settings.

Why CPR is so important? CPR can save lives by maintaining blood flow to vital organs and prevent brain damage by supplying oxygen to the brain. CPR can triple a person's chance of survival. CPR can be used to treat various medical emergencies, not just cardiac arrest, such as choking and what to do if someone overdose on drugs.

Benefits of knowing CPR: Performing CPR can give individuals a sense of empowerment and the ability to "take action" in an emergency situation. CPR training can increase community resilience and readiness for emergencies. CPR is a basic life-saving skill that can be easily learned and performed, making it accessible to anyone in an emergency situation.

I would love the opportunity to discuss how Be Defined Training & Companion Care can meet your CPR training needs and contribute to the safety and well-being of your community or organization.
